Request a Quote ↗Overview
Designed for versatile drinkware decoration, the DG1 UV Cylinder Printer combines Ricoh G6 industrial printheads with colour, white, and varnish printing to create vibrant, detailed graphics on cylindrical, tapered, and compatible irregular or faceted products—from tumblers and water bottles to glassware and cans.
Intelligent shape scanning simplifies product profile measurement, while PLC-controlled automatic fixture adjustment and job memory help reduce setup time between jobs. Ideal for drinkware manufacturers, promotional product suppliers, and print shops managing small batches, multiple designs, and frequent product changes.
Machine Structure

Industrial Printheads — Ricoh G6
High precision and long service life. Supports six colors, white ink and varnish printing.
Variable Droplet Technology (VSDT) and multi-grayscale printing: Combines speed and precision for smooth gradients and rich detail.
High-drop printing: Supports printing with an increased distance between the printhead and the product surface.
Printhead alignment and integration: A straightforward alignment and installation design supports integration with rotary or multi-axis systems for printing around the facets of products such as octagonal bottles.
Fast printing: A firing frequency of up to approximately 50 kHz supports higher throughput for bottle production. Actual output depends on the product, artwork and printing setup.

Intelligent Shape Scanning
Automatic shape scanning captures the bottle profile to support seamless wraparound printing.

8-Color High-Resolution Output
The standard five-printhead configuration supports white ink, six colors (CMYK, light cyan and light magenta), and varnish in a single pass. This versatile color system delivers smooth gradients, natural tones and vivid photographic reproduction.

Smart PLC-Controlled Fixture
Automatic fixture adjustment
The fixture automatically adjusts its position and orientation based on the geometry of the product being printed.
Job memory
The PLC memory function stores printing job data, reducing changeover time and the need to re-enter product parameters. This smart automation reduces the need for manual calibration and improves production efficiency.

Mist Extraction System
The fan-and-filter extraction system captures ink mist and airborne particles generated during printing. By drawing in air and trapping particles before they disperse, it helps reduce buildup on surrounding surfaces and maintain a cleaner workspace.

UV Light Leakage Detection
Before printing begins, the system checks for UV light exposure, which could damage the printheads. This includes light transmitted through transparent products or reflected from product surfaces. If a risk is detected, an alarm is triggered and printing is prevented from starting. This helps to protect the printheads and reduce the need for costly repairs and downtime.

Optical anti-collision system
The optical anti-collision system helps detect potential collisions between the product and the printheads, protecting critical components and reducing the risk of costly repairs and unexpected downtime.

Automatic Height Measurement
The system precisely monitors the printhead carriage’s vertical position to help maintain safe clearance between the printheads and the product, reducing collision risks and protecting the printheads from damage.
